SUMMARY:
During this seminar, participants will hear from a subject matter expert on weather emergencies and their impact on patients, residents, staff and others. We’ll also discuss the four phases of emergency preparedness.

IN THIS SESSION ATTENDEES WILL:

  1. Understand trends in weather events and predicted changes impacting the Southeast.
  2. Recognize the impact of disaster-related trauma incurred by residents, patients, staff and others.
  3. Learn how risk assessments should be modified to address predicted changes.
  4. Differentiate planning for consequences versus causes.
