This session focuses on strategies to strengthen trust in communication to impact performance and patient safety. In this all teach all learn setting, we will discuss how to lead small tests of change that promote team engagement and strengthen a patient safety culture within your community.

Learning Objections:

  • Identify new ways to use Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation (SBAR) to communicate effectively with the team, patients and care partners.
  • Develop a small test of change using the Plan, Do, Study, Act (PDSA) principle with the implementation of the SBAR tool.
  • Identify strategies for the sustainability of SBAR within the clinical environment.
