Event Description:
In this session, participants will learn what opioids are and the different types that define them, the benefits and dangers of opioid use and the metabolic impact of opioids on older adults such as mobility, increased falls etc. The side effects of opioids and the signs of overdose in addition to the benefits of coprescribing Naloxone will also be discussed.
