Each month, Alliant hosts an array of virtual educational events for Nursing Homes, Community Coalitions, Clinicians, Hospitals, and Medicare Beneficiaries in support of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Network of Quality Improvement and Innovation Contractors (NQIIC) and Quality Payment Program Small, Underserved, and Rural Support (QPP SURS) initiatives and goals.

Patient Safety Network Series: ADE Anticoagulants & Glycemic | Nov. 30, 2021

Beginning November 2021, Alliant Quality and our HQIC Partners are continuing the Patient Safety Network series. These 30-minute sessions will provide resources to support improvement in the specific areas listed below. Subject matter experts and quality improvement advisors will offer guidance, resources and tools to enable participants to identify and develop action plans that address gaps and drive improvement. All participants will have an opportunity to ask questions and share experiences with HQIC improvement staff as well as with peers from other HQIC hospitals.

Psychological First Aid (PFA) is an evidence-informed approach to help children, adolescents, adults, and families in the immediate aftermath of disaster and terrorism.

Remote Patient Monitoring: AdventHealth’s SARS-CoV-2 Response and Outcomes

Join us to learn about one health system’s experience implementing remote patient monitoring (RPM). This approach has helped to provide a safe transition of care for patients suspected of having COVID (PUI) and COVID positive patients who were discharged from the ED. When properly implemented, remote patient monitoring prevents avoidable readmissions. Together, we will learn about the elements of an effective RPM program used during COVID and consider the potential for future RPM use in helping to manage patients with chronic diseases.

Certified Safety Professional and Industrial Hygienist, Dr. Joseph A. Cocciardi, will give an overview of standard Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), status and availability, and discuss alternative tools for protection during the COVID-19 pandemic. Tim Wiegand, MD, FACMT will also provide a brief presentation on PPE in Addiction Treatment Settings. The webinar will also include Updates From the Front Lines featuring doctors from Tehran, Iran, New Orleans, and Newark, New Jersey.
